The Technology

F2C.NET has always been developed using Microsoft web technologies. This latest incarnation of Far2Cool.com (now re-branded The Far2Cool Network or F2C.NET for short) branches out with the extensive use of the latest technology from Microsoft, the .NET Framework in the form of ASP.NET and our bespoke SQL database running on Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

In the past we have used Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL Server 7 for data storage and Active Server Pages 2.0/3.0 for the front-end web code, but now ASP.NET and C# make possible the production of a far more integrated web gaming portal which you should see before you now!

The mainstay of our site technology includes;

• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server + Internet Information Services 5 (IIS 5)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 + SQLXML 3.0
• Microsoft .NET Framework. ASP.NET, ADO.NET & C#
• Microsoft XML Parser 4.0
